Marist vs. Hartford. - 09-12-2007, 02:32 AM

I'm still very new here so obviously let me know if I'm not posting in the correct way. Don't exactly know what to write here in the collegiate section, but I'll just say I stopped by the Marist at Hartford women's match today. Hartford has an interesting venue in that you can only get to the bleacher by walking across the court. Heh. I didn't have time to sit through the whole match, but I did see two games. I'm not completely fluent in the lingo, strategies, roles, et cetera so I'll hope to build that over time, but what I did notice was a differing style between the two teams. Hartford was working hard to power the ball over the net while Marist utilized misdirection a lot more, including having many of their spikes come from to the left or right of the antenna. It was very exciting to see the two sides battling it out. Just thought I'd try out a post with that. Obviously I have a lot to learn with details.

Cool.

You should post before you go to a match. There's alot of us in CT maybe we can meet up and take in a match. Especially if you're in southern CT.

I will certainly attempt to. I'm currently formulating my schedule for the next few months. I need to fit grad school, work, and fun into it all heh, and it's not always compatible. But I'm working on it.
