UConn vs. Northeastern - 09-12-2007, 11:00 PM

I stopped by my alma mater today in the midst of travelling and caught part of game 2 and game 3 of the UConn vs. Northeastern match. UConn had won the first game, and pulled out to a lead in the second game on their way to a win. Game 3 would go Northeastern's way. What I'm beginning to love about following this sport is the unpredictability of it. It's very exciting. UConn's spikes were somewhat predictable, but they often worked anyway as they had some real power, whereas Northeastern seemed to try a variety of misdirectional plays. UConn has a couple of fans who seek to distract the opposing server, but they had little success as Northeastern served pretty well. I plan on blogging about it (with what little knowledge that I have.)

UConn athletics announces each point and substitution and fills time with background music much like they would for the other inhabitant teams at Gampe l Pavilion. There was a good crowd which is great to see.

According to UConn's website both teams went the distance and UConn won it in the 5th match 3-2.
