The 2006 AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour gets underway this week, and the hottest place in Fort Lauderdale's South Beach Park will be the tournament board. Fans, refs, and maybe the players themselves will need to frequently consult the tournament board to keep straight all the changes that have occurred since last season ended. There have been partner changes, name changes, different sponsors, a new television network, and an additional half a million dollars in prize money.
MORE USA Men Open Practice to Colorado Boys Teams
The USA Volleyball Men's Training Team invited the public to one of its last practices at the Olympic Training Center on March 25 in Colorado Springs. A special invitation was extended to boys high school and club volleyball teams to encourage their efforts.
MORE USA Women Win Third-Straight Match on Italy Tour
Elisabeth Bachman scored a match-high 15 points and Jennifer Joines added 14 points to lead five players in double figures March 28 as the USA Women's National Volleyball Training Team defeated Conegliano, 3-1.
