New England Area camp recommendations? - 06-14-2007, 02:22 PM

Looking for a camp for my 14 year old daughter. She's played 1 year of h.s. varsity and club. Any overnight camp suggestions? She's looking to advance skills in addition to having some fun.

Gold Medal Squared. (Regis college and Rockingham Athletic Club are offering it this year)
BC has a camp (might be overnight)
Bentley
Masspike

If she really wants to go to a good camp she needs to go to a camp at a college where they have a good team. Most of those will be overnight camps.

I went to a camp at Penn State and learned soooo much there.

Thanks. I'll check these out. Her h.s. had a Gold Medals camp and no one liked it - I'm sure it all depends on the individual coaches. She wants to go overnight.

Camps are awesome but if thats the only play she gets during the summer, most of that investment will be for naught. Make sure she plays as much as possible, and if it is feasible (i know they can be expensive) see if she can do more than 1. Maybe an overnighter and a day camp, or just get her out playing doubles, cause thats where players learn to be great.
