We won our first game today! So we stand undefeated at the moment. I know this may not seem exciting to you, but it is to me seeing as in the past few years, Tewksbury's record has been...not that great. Last year we won two games...the year before that we won ZIP!
I'm really proud of my team. We defeated Lowell in a 3/5 match and we went to all 5 games. It was pretty awesome.
AGHHHHHH, I'm sorry if I seem wicked hyper. Winning makes me really happy. | | | | | | | | Settin` the Pace

Yeah, for you guys! Winning after losing is great! My HS hockey team went 0-9-1 in our first season. Our next season we had a much better record it was so much fun being competative after getting our brains beat in ever week. | | | | | | | | Rookie

Lost against Westford. 1-3 It was really close, but
1) I hate Westford.
2) Their coach sucks major.
3) The refs sucked as well. Aka, they weren't communicating at all and they weren't making all the calls.
4) a) In the first match, our teammate gets injured and she's in the hospital right now getting her leg examined. She might have torn her OTHER ACL. Ugh. This also sucks major because we're only at the beginning of our season.
b) And I felt partly responsible and the guilt was killing me. I was the one who set the ball to her and she hit it and she landed wrong. I played like s**t for the first two matches because I felt SO guilty.
Two good things I liked about today:
1) I sixpacked a girl so now they probably hate me.
2) I can consistently jumpserve at them. In the third set, it was 22-18, and it was my turn to serve. And my coach signals me to jump serve. I'm deathly afraid that I'll miss. So I shake my head no. Then he just keeps signaling me to jump serve, and then he tells me, "Tool 'em." Woot. And I did. I just kept jump serving, and I didn't even realize that we won the game. I was just about to go to the endline to serve again. Silly me.
I hope my friend just sprained her knee or something. Ugh.
Yeah, I'm making this into some sort of journal of how my games go. Hope ya don't mind! | | | | | | | | Fan

I'm hoping they come with the attitude, "Oh, it's just Tewksbury...we'll beat 'em." So that they won't expect it if we tool 'em. | | | | | | | | Rookie

It's official. She tore her other ACL. What are the chances? She's such a valuable player, too. And it's her senior year. Man, I feel really guilty right now. Stupid set. | | | | | | | | Super Moderator

Don't feel bad. It's an unfortunate thing that happens sometimes. You didn't do it on purpose, I'm sure it wasn't the perfect pass, and I'm sure she didn't have to aproach and land that way etc. you can't blame anyone for it. Just an accident. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
