Registration now open for Spring Indoor & Summer Outdoor Volleyball Leagues, Seattle - 04-04-2006, 08:00 AM

INDOOR CO-ED VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE:

Another session of our very popular indoor league is about to begin. Registration is open on line now for the spring session of our Indoor League. There will be up to three groups of 12 teams on Sundays at Ingraham High School (1819 North 135th Avenue in Seattle) and one group of 12 at Lincoln (temporary Roosevelt) High School (4400 Interlake Ave. N. in Seattle). Sunday league will begin matches on April 2nd and run to June 11th (no matches on April 16th or May 28th). Tuesday league will tentatively start April 4th and run until June 13th (no matches April 11th).

We use a very fun and exciting format. Each week each team will play five 25 point games in a round robin fashion against 5 different opponents over a 2 hour period. The cost for the 8 week session which includes a tournament with prizes is $250. This is a lot more volleyball than other volleyball leagues where you play less sessions and you only play one opponent each week for 2 or 3 games. Our league comes out to less than $16 per hour for the whole team (a minimum of 39 games over the course of the spring season).

Sundays at Ingraham HS:

Upper 1 (A/BB): 7:30-9:30 PM (spots open for 4 teams – take advantage of this since it is usually full with returning teams)

Upper 2 (BB/B): 5:15-7:15 PM (full plus 1 on the wait list)

Middle (B/B-): 3:00-5:00 PM (spots open for 4 teams)

Tuesdays at Lincoln HS:

Upper/Middle (B/BB): 7:00-9:00 PM (New league – all spots currently open)

League rules require a minimum of one woman and a maximum of 4 men on the court for a legal team. Balance of rules are on web site.

The Registration form is on line at:

http://www.aevolleyball.net

After submitting the on line form, you must then follow up by sending a check for $250 payable to A/E Volleyball Association mailed or hand delivered to the address below.

It is first come first served based upon the receipt of the check for all openings. In lieu of the address below, you may also hand deliver the check to 500 Union Street Suite 740 in downtown Seattle from 9 to 5 PM if that is more convenient than the Phinney Ridge location.

PLAYER LIST:

We keep lists of email addresses of individuals who are looking for a team. If you want to be added to this list, let us know your experience level and if you have a preferred position. You can also leave a message in our guest log on the web site. If you are interested in organizing a group of the individuals to form a new team, let us know (that is one of the best way to ensure you get to play).

If you are a team looking for more players let us know what gender, and level or position you need and we will forward your email to the player list.

We also occasionally, if we have an opening, form a new team from the Individuals looking for a team. Please let us know if you are interested in such a team.

SUMMER LEAGUE:

Our very popular outdoor league starts May 30th. Over 80 teams last year on 6 different levels with choice of 3 different nights. More details on website.

Early registration is now open (Returning teams have until May 1 to lock in the spot from last year.

Thanks-
Scott
