Nevada Jrs. Volleyball Association was the first and most successful junior volleyball club in Nevada. Its inaugural season being 1984-1985, Nevada Jrs. has since captured three Nike Davis Festival Championships (18's in 1989 and 1990, and 16's in 1991) and two United States Junior Olympic Championships (16's in 1988 and 18's in 1990).
Through the years, over forty Nevada Jrs. players have received Division I athletic scholarships and many more players have continued their volleyball careers playing at either small colleges or junior colleges. As a result of these numerous successes, Nevada Jrs. has played an integral role in elevating the role of high school girl's volleyball and has helped to make it one of the leading sports, for both males and females, in receiving athletic scholarships in the state of Nevada.
Karen Lamb (then the Head Women's Coach at UNLV) originally organized Nevada Jrs., with the invaluable guidance from two co-founders of the Nike Davis Volleyball Festival, Dave and Bernice Epperson. Only one of the original coaches is still involved with the club, Bob Kelly.
