Smile Hello from Chicago! - 06-07-2007, 10:04 PM

Hi Everyone! I it's been a long while since I last picked up a volleyball, and boy do I miss the game! (*played in all throughout HS, 1 year on a community college team, and recreational 'til last year) I'm trying to find teams to play on as well as adult clinics in Illinois, and so, if anyone in the Chicagoland area can recommend anything, pls. pass the info. along.

Thx!

Hey, and welcome aboard! There's several players on the forums from the area, I'm sure they'll be glad to answer questions etc. about ball in the area.

This is an old list, but these are some of the open gyms that I used to frequent...

Aizah Volleyball

I haven't updated the list in a while because I moved to the city and no longer make the trip to the suburbs, but it should get you started. Chances are that all the towns have a park district and you can contact their park district to find out their schedules.

In the city, there's the Chicago Sport and Social Scrubs... I mean Club

The other fairly large group in the city is Player's Sports.

Saturday mornings? Is this kinda related to the EVP? Only lessons I've seen are by Marcin who coaches the elite, then there's a few others that teach the very basics in the "Dust Bowl" on the southwest corner of the boathouse.
