Hey everyone - I have no idea how this works or what goes on here, but i thought i would give it a try.
I've been playing VB for like 4 years now and this year just got totally into it. Played a few beach tourneys (doubles) this summer and won. Definitely want to do MORE. I can't get enough! A lot of my teammates are married, have families, etc... so their availability isn't so great.
I thought I would just give it a whirl and see who else was out there looking for players, looking to play, etc. I play in Queens and Long Island.
I guess that's it! But, I don't even know how to check to see if someone replied to this. Wish me luck, lol...
Well I just got to the board myself and I don't really know where you can find players, though I'm sure this board is a great place to start, but I did want to get a reply to your post, since zero replies is never fun. Welcome.
THere is a pretty good showing of people from Long Island and CT on this board so I don't think you'll have a problem finding other players.
If you're looking for doubles play, there's a grass tournament next weekend for VolleyBallInThePark.com and there's a reverse coed tourney on October 7th in Beacon, NY.
There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those who don't.
