About the Role

Atlantic Volleyball Academy (AVA) is seeking enthusiastic and passionate coaches for this year's club volleyball season. AVA practices in Old Westbury and West Hempstead. The season runs December through mid-May.

Responsibilities include: practice planning and execution, in-game management, communication with parents/athletes, traveling to tournaments, and other general coaching duties. Both head coaching and assistant coaching opportunities available. Age groups range from U12-U18 with various time commitments.

Competitive Salary and travel reimbursements.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coach competitive teams

  • Instruct competitive team athletes

  • Create a fun, safe and productive environment

  • Attend all scheduled hours

  • Create and implement age/skill appropriate practice plans for team in alignment with Club’s system and philosophy


  • Exhibits an energetic, professional and courteous demeanor at all times

  • Ability to work independently or within a group

  • Willingness to learn from and share knowledge with coworkers

  • Enjoys working in team environment

  • Must be energetic and enthusiastic

  • Punctual and reliable. Maintains a neat and professional appearance at all times. (Uniform provided)

  • Prior team coaching experience

  • All Atlantic Volleyball Academy employees must be vaccinated for COVID-19
